Conference call with Mike Dillard and Robert Kiyosaki
Friday, October 10, 2008 at 11:12AM Mike Dillard leaves no stone unturned. And again last night Oct. 9, 2008, Mike Dillard interviewed Robert Kiyosaki of "Rich Dad Poor Dad. "
Timing is Everything.
Robert spoke of the many valuable lessons that his "Rich Dad" taught him and how he is living his life now and how he is sharing, once again, what we need to be doing in our lives to thrive in this economic downturn.
The call was at 4:00 pm PST, and we were told to be on the call early because there were only 1500 spots. So I called in at 3:50 pm. I had to chuckle because it was just mayhem on the line. I got to thinking, "Is this the first conference call some of these people have been on?"
There was allot of soliciting going on and as Mike Klingler teaches in the Renegade University, "there is an attractive way of marketing and then a not so attractive way of marketing." Well there was so much shouting and confusion. I was thankful that Mike Dillard came on and muted things and started some music. At one point he asked that people on the line that were yelling out their opportunity, to get off. "They were Not Cool."
A little side trip there.....Anyway,, once that all settled down he introduced Robert Kiyosaki and Kelly Ritchie and off they went. Here is what I wrote down, and I hope that you will find all this so interesting as well.
When the "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" was written, Robert calculated that Lehman Bros. and AIG would go under and that the stock market would crash. This was about 12 years ago. Of course, everyone thought that he was crazy. Well I know that we are listening now.
As the economy continues to crumble we will see the "rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the middle class disappear. Baby Boomers will most likely slip into poverty unless they go back to work or start a home-based business. Yes, 12 years ago in his book he began to recommend people to look into Network Marketing to shore themselves up and to begin to accumulate their own wealth. Not everyone was listening...
If we continue to believe that high paying jobs are coming our way, as promised, and that things will be better, we are fooling ourselves. Jobs are just going to migrate to the lowest paying areas and that won't be in the USA.
We must continue to show people another way. And we must be diligent about it. Network Marketing is a way to become self-sufficient. That is what we need to be thinking of now more than ever.
Take Charge:
Today.."are you out of money?"
Today.."are you worried about your job?"
Today.."are you willing to commit to making a change?"
Today.."are you willing to sacrifice whatever it takes to become wealthy?"
Commitment:
"Have you committed yourself to being a coward?"
"Have you committed yourself to being poor instead of rich?"
"Will you commit to your family, your lives and your future to change?"
These are just a few of the questions that Robert was asking last night. And hopefully they started you thinking just as much as it got me thinking.
I feel that so many people became lazy, life was easy, we were living in this huge candy store of goods and things and it was so easy to come by them and everything was happy. We committed ourselves to easy street. We were herded into complacency.
We have no right to complain now of lack of money, no job, or low paying job. We allowed this to happen and now we are paying the ultimate price.
So now what?
As Robert went on we can change this pattern within ourselves. Like I mentioned we cannot wait for our bailout, we must continue to be the entrepreneurs that we are and continue to "commit ourselves to our higher self." Begin to associated with "Like minded people." "Look forward not back."
What does the future hold?
OPPORTUNITY.....
We must prepare for our OWN future. Remember More Millionaires will be made in a recession or a depression than at any other time.
Let us be all that we can BE.....
We as Network Marketers again, have an opportunity to guide and help others build there businesses. Do this with integrity and value. We owe this to everyone. Become Inspired!!
Sharing Forward,
Angela James

Excellent summary of the call, Angela. Robert Kiyosaki's message is so vital to the future of our businesses as well as our personal welfare. And when we are able to be financially free, we are in an even better position to turn our attention to helping others do the same.
I highly recommend any and all of Robert's books; especially The Business for People Who Like Helping People, and Guide to Investing. Of course, if you haven't read it, begin with the landmark book Rich Dad Poor Dad since it lays the foundation for all the others.
