The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing

The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing stopped me in my tracks and made me take a look at what I was doing in my mlm business.  This may sound a little strange but it did bring about my life again. 

7GLNMarketing_3.jpgBefore I came across The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing, I was working in a very high pressured MLM selling products that, to this day, I truly believe in, and was going after people that were supposed to be as willing to jump in as me.   I thought that I had just stumbled onto something new and exciting and my family and friends would too. 

But to my dismay, my family and friends had heard of my product and opportunity and wanted nothing to do with me or my product.  I had invested allot of money.  Now what.

The 7 Great Lies in Network Marketing controversy pointed out all seven things that I was led to believe in, but now I'm to believe in just the opposite?  Confusing?  Oh yes....

These 7 Lies are:

Lie #1-Everyone is your prospect!

Lie #2-This really isn't sales. We just share products with people.

Lie #3-Anyone can do this!

Lie #4-We'll build your business for you.

Lie #5-We have the best product ever!

Lie #6-You just don't have enough belief!

Lie #7-The proven system.

So who do you trust.  At this point I didn't trust anyone or anything.  I am sure that many are coming into this whole network marketing thing in the same way.  So why have we found ourselves here?  

I would venture to say because we kept reading and analyzing the procedures in which we were doing things.  Spending allot of money only to find out that maybe we didn't have to.  

Started wondering why your "why" didn't seem as good as someone else's.  That all the personal development in the world wasn't helping and doing more of that than anything else.

Realizing that the proven system was truly a good system but put into prison form.  Like don't go out there because you will lose.  Yes it was the system I was using that was letting me down.  Not me.  

I was devoting nearly every waking hour to my business.  Calling all over the country and working up a 3 to $400.00 dollar phone bill each month.  Which wouldn't have been bad if I were producing something other than a larger bill.  I was dialing every half hour and training on the other half.  Going door to door on weekends, after the two one hour calls of education every Saturday morning.

Insane? Yes.  Enough belief? Absolutely.  Was I in the Wrong Business?  Without a doubt.  

Truly, after adjusting and getting over the "I failed" idea, I picked myself up and read and read and read.  And found out that if I follow these small baby steps through The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing and then The Renegade Network Marketer and The Renegade University I could and will succeed.  

I have found a smile again, and a skip in my step.  The fascination of learning and growing is FUN!!!!!  Something that never existed before.  I still do personal improvement, but not to help keep motivated. I do it just for me.

So if you have come here wondering what is next and find yourself in this situation.  You can read and learn and maybe spend a speck of sand compared to the bushels of money before.  There are ways to positively enter into network marketing and this has truly been my positive move.
