Target Marketing is really a rather simple concept yet we still stumble on it from time to time or our thoughts go in all kinds of directions. 

But last week I had a chance to go fishing and I decided to tell you all about it.  

Our target market was to catch BASS, large mouth BASS.  We were going to a marsh area with allot of tules and moss and some larger open areas as well.   There were three of us, all with different styles of casting, different lures, and different types of poles.  But we all had the same Target Market in mind....BASS.

We had several channels to go through, some people were fishing in the channels but not with much success.  So we continued on and found an area that didn't seem to have as much traffic as the others and the breeze seemed in our favor.

Each of us prepared our poles and each picked a different lure (topic) and away we went casting our lines and bait to our Targets.  As it turned out fishing was quite good but we could only keep the larger ones.  The smaller, half hearted ones, got released.  

As the day progressed and we had moved to other areas the fishing quieted down.  So, we changed our lures, all the while keeping focus on our main Target Market.....BASS

If you are just starting out and you've read the Renegade Network Marketer, at least twice, then you are ready to begin to generate your own leads.  But in order to do this correctly you need to first identify what your Target Market is.

So what do we mean by Target Market?  The Target Market are the people that you want to buy from you or have join your opportunity. You must know who they are, what they are hungry for, and where they are.   Whatever your target market is,  know them and study them and  stay focused on them.  Know all segments of the target to bring it all together.

I have found that if you choose a target market that you are passionate about the searches will be much easier for you and writing and creating content will be very easy for you, too.  You will be intimate with your target market.  This is very important.

Also, be careful not to over sell your target market.  They don't mind hearing what your opportunity has done for you but they are more interested in what it can do for them. So, you need to provide them with  SOLUTIONS and VALUE first.....
