Duplicate Content
Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 08:39AM Just this morning I was looking through a forum on the Better Networker site and came across a question about Duplicate Content.
Within the article it went on to say that it is a myth about posting duplicate content on your site. That Google really won't go out and penalize you.
Well if you are like me everything that I have been taught says don't do this. Learn to re-purpose your articles at least by 60% and change the title. Interesting isn't it...
What Google has found is that most people, the honest ones, are concerned about duplicat content and Google is saying they don't really need to be. What Google basically does is it finds the best version of the page and highlights that.
While I don't recommend sending the same article out to a number of submission sites you can do it if you change up the article title and content a bit. Also, if you do this submit on different days or in intervals. Also, including a link to the original article that you wrote will help that article increase in page rank with Google.
For the sake of this article and for you my readers I am including a highly technical video on this subject. Unfortunately I am not that technical but this was truly helpful. I do hope that you too find something of interest.
