Internet Network Marketer in the making..Setting up your support system and preparing for your Mind Shift..Becoming an Entrepreneur
Within network marketing you hear ‘entrepreneur’ used many many times. If you are new to any type of business you may think that you need to be an entrepreneur in order to be successful. Well, in a sense you do need to be an entrepreneur to be successful but you don’t just become one, you learn how to become one.
A Business at home requires specific entrepreneurial skills such as self-managing, knowing your emotions and limitations all of which are set up by you. A business at home will transform you into someone with great confidence and self-esteem.
Are you ready for a Mind Shift?
If you are a Mom or Dad or Retiree, and creating a new business online the first thing that you must do to start your new business is establish a support system. By establishing this support system you become more prepared for the Mind shift that WILL take place as you begin developing yourself as an entrepreneur.
Compare starting your business to going to college. College requires focus, commitment, action; your business requires the same. So you must have everyone in your family and friends ‘buy into’ what you are doing, some may not.
My daughter started nursing school a couple of years back and the first thing she sent to us was a list of the things that we could do to help her through school because it was going to be a BIG change for her and she needed our support. I want to share this with you and you are welcome to copy it and give to family and friends as you embark in creating your new business.
This letter has been modified to use for your business.
Hi, I guess you already know that I’ve started a new business. It is: exciting, scary, challenging, crazy, a dream come true, making me nuts, wonderful, overwhelming, all of the above. I think I’m going to need some help in making this big change. Starting a new business will be taking a lot of my energy. So how can you help? Glad that you asked!
You could:
1. Take me out to dinner
2. Tell me when I need to take a break
3. Fix dinner
4. Call me on the telephone but please keep it short, I am creating a business
5. Encourage me to take a walk with you
6. Say a prayer for me
7. Give me a backrub
8. Be patient when I am working
9. Do my / our laundry
10. Ask me about what I am doing
11. Play by yourself for awhile
12. Pick me a flower
13. Watch the kids for awhile
Thanks for understanding and wanting me to do well. Let me know when you need help, too. I’ll do my best to be a good: mother, father, son, daughter, friend, or neighbor.
Once this has been established you will be better able to tackle what ever comes at you. There will be the ups and downs, the ins and outs, the failures that lead to the successes. Keeping a sense of humor and an understanding towards others, especially towards those that don’t understand what it is you are doing, will take you miles and miles. Don’t expect nor wait for validation. You must do that yourself.
You see taking on a business builds the entrepreneur and the mind shift and mind set that goes along with it.
